2007 Meetings and Conferences

Vermont To Host 2007 NEANA Fall Meeting

We are hosting the NEANA Fall Meeting this year, which is scheduled for October 19-21st at the Equinox Hotel in Manchester, Vermont. Established in 1769, the Equinox Resort and Spa offers activities from golf to fly fishing to falconry, in addition to the local lures of Manchester.

The hotel is sited on 1,300 acres, between the Green and Taconic Mountains and features 183 rooms and suites. It was named one of Travel and Leisure’s 500 Greatest Hotels, one of Golf Week’s America’s Best Resort Golf Courses, and received a Gold Key Award from Meetings and Conventions magazine

There are three restaurants on the grounds, including the Marsh Tavern, which was the first Tory property seized in an act of American Independence during the Revolutionary War. Other amenities include a 13,000 square-foot Avanyu Spa with fitness center (click here for a recent local review), an off-road driving school, hi-speed wi-fi, three tennis courts, and a chlorine-free indoor pool. Other local outdoor adventures include mountain biking, horseback riding, boating and canoeing, hiking, walking/jogging trails, and fishing the famous Batten Kill river.

Room rates for the conference are $299.00/per night plus tax, if booked before September 10th. Registration is $200 in advance for NEANA members, $175 for students, and $210 for non-members (additional guest $60). Registration fees include: Friday reception, Saturday & Sunday continental breakfast and coffee breaks, Saturday buffet luncheon and dinner with dance band Saturday night. 10 CEUs approval pending AANA. Reservations Phone (800) 362-4747 or online http://www.equinoxresort.com
